Temple House Missional Community

Temple House is a ministry of the Urban Mission Center that engages young adults in neighborhood transformation through missional community. Dwellers live, serve, and worship together - committed to making a difference in the name of Jesus in Benton Park West.

Apprentices serve our neighbors in Benton Park West alongside local churches and social organizations. From neighborhood beautification to food pantries and community gardens to youth development, Temple House members can expect a variety of opportunities to transform our community.

Urban life comes with certain challenges - some simple, some very complex. Our cities need missional leaders who are ready to face these challenges with creativity and understanding. Apprentices have opportunities to explore topics of urban mission through multiple mediums, including workshops, book studies, mentoring, and classes with the Urban Mission Center.

It is so simple: love God and love your neighbors. After a year of city ministry, our hope is that you've deepened your love for God and for your neighbors. With your hands serving and your mind engaged, a changed heart is inevitable!

If you have a heart for the city and you're interested in missional community, consider applying for a Temple House apprenticeship! We're looking for young adults who will commit to transforming our neighborhood.
